Change in Grove Park

During the holiday season this year, Desire Street is giving a gift that we treasure year-round: a behind-the-scenes look at the life-changing ministry that goes on in the day-to-day world of our ministry partners. Thanks to your prayers and generous gifts to Desire Street, we are able to walk alongside these heroes through the everyday ups and downs of life in struggling inner-city neighborhoods. I hope you’ll enjoy seeing how God is putting all the moving pieces together to form a beautiful picture of redemption.

Speaking of that, I’d like to share a story from PAWKids, as told by Mallory Sanders, Facilitator/Director of the PAW Power Program. She’s just one of several great people who Executive Director LaTonya Gates-Boston brings together to make a difference in the Grove Park neighborhood of Atlanta, GA.

Generational Redemption

From the streets of Grove Park and a criminal record…
Edwin Cook worked his way up…
Then was knocked down by a disabling car accident…
Yet worked his way back to Grove Park and started to see God’s redemption evident there.

Read Edwin Cook’s story and how his son’s involvement at PAWKids is not only changing his whole family, but the neighborhood as well.

You’ll be glad you did!

God bless,
Danny
