Continuing our ministry partner series, I’d like to share with your this “thank you note” from Justina Dix in which she shares how the wonderful gift of loving hands and help made all the difference when she needed it most. I hope you’ll take a moment to learn more at Summerhill Community Ministries’ website.
I am so thankful for God’s love, mercy, healing, and provision. I am still in recovery after back surgery and complications with four blood clots in my lungs, due to the surgery, which also stressed my heart. The stress caused my heart to go into an abnormally high pulse rate which was close to 200, twice in two days. Both times, my heart had to be stopped/shocked, so that it could restart in a normal rhythm… An uncomfortable experience that I don’t think I will ever forget!
As the bad news kept coming, I made a decision to trust God with my life. I can do nothing and I am nothing without Him. I’ve been told by doctors, friends, and family that it is a miracle that I made it through this! With tears, I am thanking God for being a Miracle Worker!
My recovery is going well, and I am so grateful and thankful for ALL of you who showed my family and me so much love during this time. I was very encouraged by every card, delicious meal, phone call, text message, flowers, errand running, support of our Summerhill after school program, teen program, and sports, that all remained in session in my absence! We have some of the best volunteers and donors in Georgia!
A special thanks to The Anchor Class of Peachtree Presbyterian Church, Desire Street Ministries, and East Cobb PCA Church for coming together collectively, to minister to the needs of my family, SCM and me. I had no choice but to delegate all of my duties, and to be on complete bed rest, which you all know is hard for me to do!
With the help and support of all of you, I was able to rest easy knowing that my family was well fed, and my Summerhill babies were well taken care of.
I THANK YOU ALL from the bottom of my heart. ️
Justina
